I'd like to say time flies when you
are having fun. . . but in our case, time flies when you are busy! It
also allows for a lot of time to pass between blog posts (oops)! So much time that summer turns into fall.
All I have been hearing around town
and seeing on Facebook is the following: "Fall has begun! The pumpkin
latte at Starbucks is back!". . . yuck. Sorry folks, pumpkin latte does
not sound appetizing to me. Not sure if they make a peppermint latte for
Christmas, but I am pretty sure I will hear about it as soon as Thanksgiving is
over. Alright. . back to the point of the fall season. Being that Saturday, September 22, was the official start to fall, I was finally able to display our fall wreath that I made earlier in the
summer. It was my kick off to the fall season plus chili and open
windows.
And we will be buying one of these
bad boys as soon as October 1 arrives. . .or maybe the weekend before! This year I am going to attempt to
paint pumpkins rather than carving them. More on that later!
Maybe like these but with a little bit more color:
Our first fall weekend of the year was also fabulous because it was my best friend's bachelorette partaaaaaay! The future Mrs.
Kayla Kennedy gets married in just 11 days. . . October 6, 2012! She was
my beautiful Maid of Honor in our May 5 wedding.
Not only is Kayla my go to person when I have a medical / sick / what did I do to myself kind of question. . .but Kayla is also my go to gal when I want a
new wine to try. With that said, it only felt appropriate to dress up a bottle of wine
for her bachelorette night!
We then got the night started by
taking the BEST cab ever. . .The Karaoke Kab!
It was not on my bucket list of
things to do/experience. . but by the time we reached the restaurant, it was
added and checked off my bucket list and a must do in Nashville if you haven't!
Myrtle Beach. . you need to introduce this to the Grand Strand and let me tell
you why:
The decor spoke for itself!
From the strobe lights giving you star status as soon as you step in the cab,
to the cds covering every inch (which we could even sign), to the two screens on the back of the front seats
giving you the words to the songs, AND the microphones that allowed you to sing
along. Plus the fact that at every red light it was pretty hilarious seeing the
reaction of people walking and driving by.
As for the rest of the night. . it was a night to add to the memory book!
We experienced several places in Mid-town of Nashville. I really do need
to get better at taking pictures. . .and posting on our blog! ;)
Until next time. . .
